Our Exclusive Moz-Whey or Mozzarella Whey is made while making our Mozzarella Cheese from our Whole Goat Milk. One of the first processes in making all cheeses is to separate the Curds from the Whey. Depending on the Cheeses being made, the Curds contain most of the fat and Milk solids to make the Cheese. The Whey, which is a liquid that separates from milk during cheese production, is considered as the by-product by Cheese makers and is a high quality Protein Source but it is so much more. Our Moz-Whey also has a unique Cheese flavor that you can add to any dish. We sprinkle our Moz-Whey over pasta, pizza, salad and our favorite mashed potatoes. We also add it to our soups, stews and sauces the same way that most people use bullion cubes.
Our Moz-Whey has nothing added and all of its flavor comes from the Whole Goat Milk. Because all of the Milk fat goes into the Curds to make our Mozzarella, Moz-Whey is fat free. Whey is a complete, high-quality protein, containing all of the essential amino acids. In addition, it is very digestible, absorbed from the gut quickly compared to other types of protein. These qualities make it one of the best dietary sources of protein available.
Since Whey is mostly water It takes over 4 gallons of Mozzarella Whey and 5 days of dehydration to make one 8 oz package of our Moz-Whey but the end product is totally worth the wait.
